I’ve been here for over 10 years, and I feel medically elevated. I know I have physical challenges. I try not to let them show. I just always try to be the best I can be for myself. The care and the nurturing and the understanding of my doctors is just beautiful. That’s what brought my family to Access. We could have gone to other places I’m sure, but the comfort was here. That’s what brought me here and that’s what kept me here.
As a Patient Advisory Council member, I really enjoy taking part in it. The Council is a cultural mixture of people. A lot of different ideas coming together. It’s important for Access to hear our input as patients and then making sure they are applying the things we are talking about. It’s a beautiful relationship that has been created. And I enjoy being part of it and being a part of a team.
